I started doing triathlons because I wanted to do something that kept me active and competitive. I played football in High School and maintained a decent weight, but after it was done, I packed the weight on. I tried diets and working out, but I could never stick to anything consistently. Once I signed up for my first Triathlon, I found it a lot more easy to stick to my workout when I had an event planned. So here I am now. After I did my first Triathlon, I was hooked. Since then, I have competed in a few more triathlons, lost over 65 lbs, and I have done a half Ironman and a full Ironman this last year. My health has made a total 180 and I feel great!

Sweet! Dude you are going to kill StG, IM with all your trips down there. A couple things, don't hope for good weather to train in, cuz we never know what race day will be like. We will all pray that it is as forgiving to us as last year, but if not, you will be prepared. Watch out for the Veyo Pies, they put sleeping sauce in them...If you like the deep pools, I don't know if you have been swimming at the Sandhollow Pool, (tent covered pool.) I love it there. I was really hoping to get another go, before the race, but it's not looking good for me right now. Oh, ya thanks for the Icebath idea, that has been a life saver for my longer ride recoveries. I am getting really excited for the race this year, hopefully I can stick with the training, and not get too burned out...
Really enjoyed these last few videos. Great job on your training.
SHO'NUF thanks for the Veyo pie advice!!! Just listen to your body on the burn out and you will be fine. Thanks Micheal!
When it comes to the burn out, I lack. I try to listen to Jens Voigt in that regard
