I started doing triathlons because I wanted to do something that kept me active and competitive. I played football in High School and maintained a decent weight, but after it was done, I packed the weight on. I tried diets and working out, but I could never stick to anything consistently. Once I signed up for my first Triathlon, I found it a lot more easy to stick to my workout when I had an event planned. So here I am now. After I did my first Triathlon, I was hooked. Since then, I have competed in a few more triathlons, lost over 65 lbs, and I have done a half Ironman and a full Ironman this last year. My health has made a total 180 and I feel great!

What plan are you following? I did Saint George in 2010 it kicked my butt. 15 hrs plus. I couldn't stay healthy during training. I am signed up for this year. Doing all low intensity heart rate stuff.
Good luck training, stay healthy... I like the video journal, cool way to stay on track.
Thanks! I am following the Matt Fitzgerald Week-By-Week. So far I like it but it's a ton of training. Everything is going great so far but my left leg is bugging! Nice job on the St George 2010 finish. Keep training hard. Where are you from? Do you get to ride the course much?
